Overview

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Lexington OBGYN is recruiting an APP to care for women across the life span as well as provide educational experiences to varied learners. This CNM will provide full scope midwifery care. Our Advance Practice Providers work alongside their peers, physicians and residents to provide exceptional care to women of all ages. 

2 years of Women's Health Experience.

Work responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide obstetrical care in the outpatient setting. 
  • Labor management 
  • Postpartum rounding including education and discharge planning. 
  • Gynecologic care including basic GYN annuals, contraception, vaginitis, STI screening, vulvar disorders, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding and both pre and postmenopausal care. 
  • Attend department and sectional meetings as scheduled. 
  • Provide patient care and interact with health care team in a professional manner. 
  • Education of varied learners  

Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements: 

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements:

  • Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Master’s degree or higher required
  • Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC
  • Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start

CNM Job requirements include: 

  • Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery 
  • Licensure as both an RN and CNM in the state of NC 
  • DEA License  
  • BCLS, ACLS and NRP certified. 

APP experience preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Flexibility to provide coverage across the department as deemed necessary by leadership. 
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. 
  • Perform other related duties other than those described.
