Overview

Job Summary:
Performs various food service tasks, including food preparation, serving, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness. Provides excellent customer service and may operate a cash register.

Education/Experience:

  • High school enrollment, diploma, or GED required.
  • Experience in food service or customer service preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Not applicable.

Essential Functions:

  1. Monitor food quality, recipe compliance, and department standards.
  2. Meet schedules for productivity, delivery, and serving times.
  3. Minimize waste, control costs, and follow portion guidelines.
  4. Maintain and properly use equipment and supplies.
  5. Ensure high patient and customer satisfaction.
  6. Achieve and maintain high sanitation and inspection ratings.
  7. Follow safety and sanitation rules.
  8. Complete required training and compliance programs.
  9. Support department improvement initiatives and team collaboration.
  10. Deliver and retrieve food trays safely and courteously.
  11. Address concerns and assist patients, visitors, and staff.
  12. Follow hospital policies and provide excellent customer service.

Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Bending, reaching, and handling objects.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
