Overview

Full time, weekday position for a qualified Ultrasound Technologist at Wilkes Medical Center.

What You Will Do: 

Assists the provider in the delivery of health care by performing diagnostic ultrasound exams by producing, assessing, and evaluating images and related data used to determine a medical diagnosis. 

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: Varied weekday schedule, 36 hours per week 3rd shift and holiday rotation.
  • Location: Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, NC
  • Bonus: Qualified new hires can earn a $15,000 bonus (paid over two years); Ultrasound Technologist graduates can earn $10,000 (paid over two years).
  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $3,000 provided to a new hire who qualifies

What You Will Need:

  • Associate's degree or completion of a two year approved program required
  • ARDMS registration
  • BLS Provider certification

Skill for Success: 

  • Communicates effectively and courteously on the telephone and in person with patients and colleagues 
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications 
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and protocols 
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish a safe work environment 
  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other ancillary professional staff 
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with public, patients, physicians, and other medical center staff 
  • Generates a work atmosphere that maintains a positive attitude toward teamwork
