Overview
JOB SUMMARY: Inventories, orders, receives, stores, and issues food and supply items for the department in accordance with established policy and within budgeting guidelines. Requires significant product handling, lifting stock, pushing heavy carts, etc.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in food service production environment preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid North Carolina driver’s license required. Operating certificate for power jacks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Fluent in English
Knowledge of food service equipment
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including employees, nursing staff, managers, and hospital staff
Initiative to solve problems as well as work independently and efficiently
Ability to adjust to the needs of the department
Desires to achieve high customer service standards
Ability to work weekends and holidays
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
May be required to work in all areas of the Food and Nutrition Services departments including kitchen and retail areas
Exposure to wet tile floors
Exposure to sharp equipment
