Position Highlights: 

   

  • Shift Schedule:  Full time, Days, 7am – 7pm, 3rd weekend rotation 
  • Department:  Hematology/Oncology, Cancer Center
  • Location:  Winston Salem Campus

What You’ll Need: 

 

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. 
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing 
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required  
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines  
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines  

 

 

How You’ll Impact Patient Care: 

 

As a skilled Charge RN, you will be delivering exceptional nursing care to patients, we seamlessly integrate the nursing process – from comprehensive assessment to meticulous planning, skillful implementation, and diligent evaluation. Our unit is a dynamic hub where skilled nurses take the helm, expertly leading their teams and fostering collaborative partnerships with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, all dedicated to providing the highest standards of age-appropriate and developmentally sensitive patient care.

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

 

  1. We provide patient-centered care, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. This includes assessment, nursing diagnoses, planning, intervention, coordination, education, and outcome evaluation, all aligned with WFBMC policies.
  2. We maintain a secure, therapeutic environment with utmost respect for patient privacy and a commitment to responsive, professional behavior.
  3. Embracing technology, we prioritize patient and staff safety through its effective use.
  4. Effective communication is our cornerstone, fostering seamless information sharing across the care continuum within our healthcare team.
  5. We excel in professional settings, participating in shared governance, adhering to care standards, engaging in peer review, and promoting leadership, clinical excellence, teamwork, autonomous practice, accountability, and critical thinking.
  6. With precision, we manage point-of-care testing, ensuring compliance with WFBH policies and applicable regulations.
