Overview
Job Summary: Provides high quality technical neurodiagnostic services appropriate to age of patient, which contributes to positive patient outcome in a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. This includes patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, ICU, outpatient procedures and throughout the medical center. Maintains cooperative working relationship with other departments and members of the medical system. Ensures the continuous delivery of high-quality patient care by consistently seeking new knowledge and application of skills obtained.

What You Will Need:
- High school diploma/GED and graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) in Neurodiagnostic Technology or 18 months experience in a related field required.
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Obtains R.EEG T., through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET), within 18 months of hire date.
How You’ll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performs the application and removal of electrodes.
- Reviews data for seizure activity and abnormalities.
- Edits data for physician review.
- Assists nursing staff with patients during seizures, maintaining patient safety.
- Performs seizure testing with patients during their events.
- Performs outpatient procedures such as PET, SPECT, Wada and Ambulatory studies.
- Performs CEEG procedures in the ICU setting.
- Performs intracranial monitoring in the EMU and OR.
- Communicates with coworkers and physicians about changes in patient status.
- Assists other areas of Diagnostic Neurology.
- On call responsibilities for EEG.
