Overview

Job Summary:
Performs various food service tasks, including preparation, serving, and food transportation. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food quality, and providing excellent customer service. May operate a cash register.

Education/Experience:

  • High school enrollment, diploma, or GED.
  • Preferred: Experience in food service or customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure food quality and follow recipes and guidelines.
  2. Meet productivity, delivery, and serving schedule requirements.
  3. Minimize waste and control costs by adhering to portion guidelines.
  4. Clean and maintain equipment and dishwashing areas.
  5. Provide high-quality customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  6. Maintain high sanitation standards and comply with safety regulations.
  7. Complete required training, including compliance and safety.
  8. Contribute to team performance and support other departments as needed.
  9. Safely deliver, serve, and retrieve food trays following protocols.
  10. Communicate effectively to resolve issues and build positive relationships.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and able to follow instructions.
  • Flexible and adaptable to departmental needs.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with patients and entering patient rooms.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • Work in kitchen, dining, and retail areas.
  • Exposure to wet floors and sharp equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
