Overview

Job Summary

Coordinates laundry and distribution functions of linen services including pre-washing and post washing phases of linen services, and the assignment and training of manpower to distribute, clean, and process soiled linen.



Essential Functions

  • Maintains work area in a neat, orderly efficient manner at all times.
  • Directs workflow through coordination and assignment to staff.
  • Demonstrates correct procedure including safety in handling of all linen equipment.
  • Provides training in all areas.
  • Coordinates soil, distribution and cart make-up activities through hands-on operation of resources.

Physical Requirements

Involves walking, standing, and a wide range of body movements involved in stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to move carts weighing up to 700 pounds. Must be able to drive vehicles safely in all types of weather.



Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Valid drivers license required with no moving violations in the last 3 years. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 3 years prior laundry experience required. Proficiency in Excel, Word and MS Suite preferred.
