Overview

CT Technologist position at Davie Medical Center in Advance, NC.  Three 12-hour shifts rotating each week: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday one week, then Thursday, Friday and Saturday the next week.  Opportunity for sign on bonus to new hires and relocation assistance for new hire that meets eligibility guidelines.

What You Will Do:

Assists the radiologists and other staff physicians with invasive procedures, patient scheduling, clerical and image processing functions, participating in the CT call plan, managing the flow of patients and processes, and working in general diagnostic radiology when needed. Performs diagnostic radiology and CT procedures by utilizing equipment and employing techniques and procedures that are appropriate to the entire span of ages served in accordance with accepted standards of practice, and demonstrating expertise in limiting radiation exposure to patients and other members of the health care team. 

What You Will Need: 

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology or CT Scanning. 
  • Minimum of six months experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist. 
  • Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (or registry eligible within 12 months of hire.. 
  • Current BLS Provider (CPR) certification. 

Skills for Success:

  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff when discussing procedures and patient's care 
  • Ability to maintain daily schedules 
  • Clinical skills to enable recognition and to function accordingly in relation to priorities of patient needs 
  • Good oral and written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy 
  • Completes 24 hours of required continuing educations every two years
