Overview
Lead our team of evening CT Technologists and provide the excellence in patient care we strive for on a continuous basis.
What You'll Do:
Provides direction and supervision to departmental staff. Acts as a supportive management team member. Teaches staff and students age appropriate CT and diagnostic examinations by demonstrating proficient use of equipment and advanced CT applications across all service locations.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, evening shift. Can choose to work 4, 10 hour shifts or 5, 8 hour shifts.

What You'll Need:
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology (Associate Degree or higher)
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Advanced Certification in Computerized Radiography
- BLS Provider certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of CT Experience
- Minimum of one year experience supervising others

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Performs or assists in performing quality CT and diagnostic and interventional procedures as applicable, on all equipment utilized by work assignment. Prepares power injector and IV contrast for administration and administers contrast according to protocol and contrast administration guidelines.
- Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives by assessing and reassigning staff as needed to meet daily demand and productivity targets. Coordinates technical coverage, supervises schedules and assignments and provides bi-annual evaluations of staff.
- Demonstrates effective teamwork skills to promote a cooperative work environment. Provides emergency on-call coverage after normal working hours as required.
- Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergencies, initiating emergency procedures as necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of procedures, equipment and systems used to perform job functions and acts as a resource for other staff/healthcare personnel when procedural/protocol questions arise. Orders and maintains availability of supplies and readiness of equipment.
- Reports patient safety concerns and equipment malfunctions promptly and appropriately. Ensures clinical areas supervised remain clean, neat and orderly, free of safety hazards and comply with OSHA, Infection Control and The Joint Commission standards.
- Collaborates with departmental leadership to develop, implement and communicate departmental Quality Improvement and safety initiatives.
- Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote improved quality of patient care. Conducts and/or coordinates educational opportunities for technical staff each year. Readily shares professional knowledge and educational material.
- Participates in planning by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives. Assists in development of new programs or services of the assigned areas.
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. Models and ensures compliance with departmental Standards of Behavior and the medical center Values/Behavior Anchors. Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures. Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings. Contributes to the overall quality of service.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Regular, full-range body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual finger dexterity, and eye and hand coordination, bending and stooping
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Periodically lifts and carries items weighing in excess of 50 pounds
- Corrective vision and hearing to normal range
- Some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids
- Moves equipment to other areas of the hospital
