Overview

Position Overview

The Department of Neurology is seeking an outstanding candidate for an Assistant Instructor position, specializing in the treatment of Movement Disorders. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with conditions such as Tremors, Parkinson's Disease, Dystonia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Huntington's Disease. Additionally, the position includes evaluating patients for surgical interventions including Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive care to patients with Movement Disorders, focusing on timely access and effective treatment.
  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct assessments to determine suitability for surgical interventions such as Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound.
  • Collaborative Work: Work collaboratively with the Movement Disorders program faculty, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neuropsychiatrists, and therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Clinical Research: Engage in and contribute to the clinical research trial program, with opportunities to expand the program in the field of Movement Disorders.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board eligibility or certification in Neurology
  • Fellowship training in Movement Disorders
