Home Health Aide - Full time - Days

Overview

Job Summary 

The Home Health Aide provides personal and simple clinical care in the home setting, under the specific direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. 

Coverage areas:  

This position will mainly cover Barnesville, Jackson,  Forsyth, North Macon and Lizella.

Essential Functions 

• Receives updated schedule daily and checks in with the office daily to update schedule and report any status changes 

• When in the home, gives personal care as directed in the patient’s care plan, in a professional, respectful manner 

• Completes visit note to accurately reflect time spent in home and care given 

• Cleans out tub/sink after use; empties bedside commode/catheter bag as appropriate and cleans/straightens immediate patient care area 

• Attends staff meeting, educational in-services, etc. as deemed necessary by manager 

• Demonstrates safety awareness, safe use of personal protective equipment and adherence to universal precautions 

• Reports and abnormal finding to RN and/or Manager 

Education, Training, and Experience 

Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED is required. 

CNA Certification required.   One (1) year CNA experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license.
