Job Summary

Understands the system's strategic priorities and can develop tactics to ensure operational excellence goals and objectives are met or exceeded. Is well versed in the day-to-day operations and challenges of frontline therapy team members. Identifies opportunities in quality, safety, and teammate engagement using tools including but not limited to: LEAN principles, PDSA, root cause analysis, and teammate rounding. Works to educate and mentor team members in both leadership and clinical skills to prevent burn out and support or enhance a passion for their work.



Essential Functions

  • Provides high quality patient care.
  • Applies critical thinking to operational elements of: Growth, Value, and Affordability
  • Coordinates therapy services within the department and in collaboration across the system.
  • Orients team members to include clinical, operational, and cultural expectations and accountability.
  • Manages policy and procedures.
  • Provides leadership to team members and manages conflict.
  • Holds team members accountable for well-defined team members expectations, team goals, and objectives.
  • Promotes a learning environment focused on growing diverse talent.
  • Performs all duties of a licensed therapist.

Physical Requirements

Works in both an office and a fast-paced clinical environment. Job can require long periods of sitting, standing, and reaching. Lifting documents, supplies, or equipment, will be required to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and laterally transfer up to 100lbs rarely. Stooping, twisting, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and demonstrating exercises and sports specific activities to patients is occasionally necessary.



Education, Experience and Certifications

Licensed in the state of North Carolina to practice Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy required. Master's or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred. 3 years experience required and 1 year supervisory experience required. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, planning skills, and professionalism. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required if providing direct patient care.
