Overview
What You Will Do:
Coordinates and implements admission and post discharge fitness evaluations for the Heartworks Cardiac/Pulmonary patients. Develops and updates exercise prescriptions, instructs, and supervises cardiac/pulmonary patients in their exercise therapy. Participates in inpatient/outpatient education as needed.
What You Will Need:
- B.S. Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Physical Education
- Prefer one year experience in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab. Program. Suitable college internship or related experience acceptable
- Current BCLS. ACSM certification strongly recommended.
- Must be able to use Propac, Dynamap, glucose machine, cardiac telemetry, department computers and exercise equipment
- Must have training in observation of patient signs and symptoms as well as rhythm interpretation
- Must be available to work Tuesday (8a-2:30p), Thursday (8a-5p) alternate Mondays (9a-2:30p)
