As part of the Wake Forest Health Network, a physician-led, non-faculty multispecialty group practice affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, you’ll have the opportunity to practice medicine at the highest standard while enjoying the support of a collaborative and innovative healthcare system. This practice is the “best of both worlds”, offering a community/private practice feel with specialty-level support including Mohs surgery, dermatopathology, subspecialty clinics, and advanced nursing and pharmacy infrastructure. Additionally, dermatologists have the flexibility to teach residents and/or students if desired, with the opportunity to hold an affiliate faculty title—but with no expectation for academic responsibilities.

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Dermatologist within Wake Forest Health Network, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dermatological care to our diverse patient population. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions
  • Performing routine skin examinations
  • Offering expert advice on skincare and preventive measures
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care

Position Highlights:

  • Locations: Winston-Salem, Greensboro, North Carolina
  • Practice Type: 100% outpatient, Non-Faculty, Multispecialty Group, Community-Based Practices
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with no inpatient responsibilities, no call coverage expectations
  • Full-Time Schedule: 30-hour workweek consisting of 26 patient-facing hours and 4 hours of administrative time per week
  • Patient Population: Diverse range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric, in a supportive outpatient setting
  • Adjunct Academic Appointment for hospital admitting privileges (optional)
  • Direct Connection with the Dermatology Academic Department for mentorship, guidance, and additional support
  • Collaborative and Supportive Practice Environment within a renowned academic healthcare system that values teamwork and patient-centered care

 

Physician Requirements:

  • M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of a Dermatology Residency at an accredited healthcare institution
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
