Management Nursing Associate, Operating Room

40 hours per week, day shift

JOB SUMMARY:  

Support the administrative needs of the Nurse Managers.  Scope of responsibility includes management of multiple spreadsheets and files, assistance with schedule balancing duties, support with staffing tasks, and other administrative support as needed under the supervision of the Nurse Managers.  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Time keeping experience preferred
• Microsoft Office experience preferred

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:  N/A

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Knowledge on system policies and procedures 
• Manage and balance multiple staff schedules as directed by Nurse Managers
• Track monthly healthcare teammate license verification and documentation
• Participate as requested in candidate interviews
• Maintain an adequate knowledge based of healthcare trends and regulations
• Manage several projects at one time
• General administrative support to assigned Nurse Managers
• Provide support for cross functional areas as needed
• Supports additional operational projects that support the overall performance of identified goal areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting for prolonged periods of time utilizing a computer and telephone and preparing reports and other statistical data.
• Work requires standing as well as walking throughout all assigned units
• Occasionally requires the carrying of up to 20 pounds of materials or equipment.
• Position also requires the ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a safe, effective manner, and to handle different issues and priorities simultaneously.
