Atrium Health is growing and currently seeking an additional GI Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for their Pineville location.

Job details:

  • 100% Adult medicine
  • Full time outpatient clinic M-F 8am-4:30pm
  • 1 day a week of morning telehealth visits and afternoon administrative time
  • Responsible for one holiday per year covering one of our hospitals from 7am-5pm
  • Perform in person patient consultations and follow ups for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases. 
  • The GI APP will need to be comfortable with in-office gastrostomy tube removals and replacements or be willing to learn.

Who you are:

  • Experienced APP with at least 2 years of Gastroenterology experience is preferred. Will consider APPs who are familiar with managing chronic diseases or show true passion for the gastroenterology field
  • Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.  Acute Care board certification optional based upon population and acuity served.
  • Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • APP who demonstrates exceptional self-directed learning ability 
  • APP who has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
  • APP who is flexible with work schedule and is a team player
