Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist / Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is seeking an outstanding BC/BE Obstetrician/Gynecologist with a focused practice in Gynecology and Gynecologic Ultrasound to join the growing section of Gynecologic Subspecialties. The Section of Gynecologic Subspecialties is a diverse group of physicians with close clinical collaboration with Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. The clinical practice will encompass the full spectrum of gynecologic care, including office procedures and gynecologic surgery, at our Lexington location. In addition, the ideal candidate will lead our Gynecologic Ultrasound Program. The Gynecologic Ultrasound Program will be housed within the state-of-the-art Hanestown facility, at the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Surgery.  The Gynecologic Ultrasound Program will focus on diagnostic imaging and ultrasound-guided procedures. AIUM accreditation is highly desired.

Opportunities exist for direct resident supervision, in both the ambulatory and inpatient settings.  

The successful candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which includes over 70, including 38 faculty, providers, 24 residents and 12 fellows, providing care to patients at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem and the surrounding communities. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is a 900-bed tertiary care facility located in Winston-Salem and serves as the anchor for the Wake Forest Baptist Health System. The system currently serves as a referral center for women across North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, and southern Virginia.  As a member of the Atrium Health Enterprise, faculty members at Wake Forest Baptist have an extraordinary opportunity for participation in large-scale system-based educational and clinical endeavors.
