Overview

Job Summary
Coordinates and oversees banquet and catering services, ensuring timely and professional service while maintaining high customer service standards. Serves as a key contact for events such as catering, bookings, and reservations, and may supervise 2-10 employees. Responsible for planning, executing, and coaching staff on event details, while working closely with clients to meet their needs and resolve any concerns.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Banquet/catering experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license required (use of company vehicle).

Essential Functions

  1. Actively integrates into the department’s leadership team, contributing to financial and service goals.
  2. Works to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Ensures food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety compliance.
  4. Meets or exceeds department standards for operations.
  5. Fosters teamwork and creates a positive environment.
  6. Collaborates with chefs and production managers to improve operations and create special menus.
  7. Reviews work schedules and event orders for upcoming functions.
  8. Prepares tables with proper settings and ensures readiness before events.
  9. Provides food and beverage service while maintaining cleanliness.
  10. Assists with setup and breakdown of function spaces.
  11. Follows safety and emergency procedures and reports incidents to management.
  12. Maintains a professional appearance and promotes courteous service.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Able to lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
