Overview
JOB SUMMARY: This pharmacist position will work closely with technicians, nurses, and medical staff to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to acute care areas. The pharmacist will be responsible for order verification, product checking, overall workflow management of the pharmacy, oversight of technical staff, serving as a drug information resources for patients, nurses, and medical staff, and providing clinical pharmacy services to the patients served. This individual will be cross-trained to multiple inpatient pharmacy areas on multiple shifts.

How You’ll Impact Patient care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
- One to two years of experience is preferred.
- Completion of a residency and/or equivalent experience in clinical pharmacy and IV sterile compounding experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
