Overview

Job Summary:
The Enterprise IT Logistics Specialist manages daily ITS logistics operations related to desktop, network/telecom, and server infrastructure (outside the datacenter), while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves understanding department workflows, recommending solutions, and optimizing hardware setups for Academic, Healthcare, and Research systems.

Education/Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Preferred: Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or healthcare settings; experience with project planning and coordination

Reports to:
Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure Operations

Licensure/Certification:

  • None required

Essential Functions:

  1. Assists with unloading shipments, receiving and processing equipment, and delivering shipments to stockrooms and local sites.
  2. Performs data entry in inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy.
  3. Prepares shipments, including labeling, packaging, and removing old stickers.
  4. Cleans and refurbishes computers and phones for restocking.
  5. Provides desk-side support, desk setup, phone provisioning, and quick fix management.
  6. Processes returning equipment from terminated employees.
  7. Ensures ITS hardware standards are followed and escalates issues as needed.
  8. Coordinates with ITS Project Coordinator and Asset Management to ensure equipment availability and proper tracking.
  9. Maintains documentation for all workflows and updates ITS Service Management System.
  10. Identifies operational deficiencies and makes recommendations for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with inventory management tools (preferred)
  • Forklift operation experience (certification a plus)
  • Strong documentation and information management skills
  • Experience in project asset coordination and asset management systems
  • Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Ability to deliver equipment for projects on time and within budget

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced with long hours as needed based on business demands
  • May need to enter student/academic areas or patient care areas to deliver equipment
