Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care within the Clinical Department under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager; coordinates care with other disciplines. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimal supervision. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with physicians and Charge Nurse about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in hemodynamic status or response to treatment.
Specifications:
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing.
2. Experience: New graduates are accepted. Certification/License/Registration: Must have current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse License. CPR Required. ACLS and PALS desired/preferred.
