Position Highlights:

  • Shift Schedule: Full-time, Days (7a-7p with every other weekend rotation)
  • Department: Transitional Care Unit
  • Location:  High Point Medical Center

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED General Studies
  • Successful completion of a North Carolina Board of Nursing Aide I approved training program/competency evaluation
  • Nurse Aide I Registration Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Preferred:   Prior experience

 

Functions:

  • Assist RN in patient care.
  • Perform specialized procedures as directed.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all.
  • Ensure accurate, timely patient info sharing.
  • Communicate effectively, positively, and professionally.
  • Provide age-appropriate care per guidelines.
  • Take initiative for growth and development.

Physical and Behavioral Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, and push heavy objects.
  • Perform bending, squatting, and standing tasks.
  • Use visual acuity for reading and documentation.
  • Maintain a sense of smell for safety.
  • Utilize a sense of touch to evaluate vital signs.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and audibly.
