Overview

Job Summary

Serves as the chief executive officer of the College of Health Sciences and is responsible for the administration and operation of the College and its services and programs.

Essential Functions

• Administers college operations including its services and programs.
• Provides leadership for institutional planning.
• Oversees the development, implementation, and regular updating of the strategic, facility, and financial plans.
• Develops and sustains an organizational structure of qualified administrative team members, faculty and staff.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal laws.
• Facilitates continuous assessment and improvement of the College’s performance.
• Assumes fiscal responsibility for and oversee financial operations of the College.
• Promotes maximum utilization of space and physical resources.
• Guides development of space, equipment, and technology plans with input from affected stakeholders.
• Creates and maintains a collaborative working relationship with the Governing Board.
• Coordinates and manages fund raising efforts.

Physical Requirements
Work normally performed in a typical interior office environment. Extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stretching; as well as frequent movement throughout the College and agency campuses. Visual and auditory acuity within normal lines or corrected. Occasional driving to other locations. Travel and overnight stays associated with College business.

Education, Experience and Certifications.
Master's degree required. Doctorate from an accredited college or university preferred.  Minimum of 5 years experience in management of an academic environment required. College administration and relevant background in a college or university level or comparable accomplishments in the healthcare sector required.
