Overview
Atrium Health Levine Cancer Outpatient Genitourinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to support a robust surgical oncology clinic. Offering Monday to Friday, this position will allot for weekends and all major holidays off. This Registered Nurse will have the opportunity to assist in performing procedures and conducting follow-up appointments for our patients along their cancer journey. This clinic prides themselves in teamwork and are committed to fostering an environment where everyone can grow and learn together. The Registered Nurse on this team will have the opportunity to support nurse visits, injections, procedures, as well as intravesical chemotherapy administration. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team of board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, navigators, and staff working together to provide comprehensive care.
Job Summary
Assesses and diagnosis patients in a practice setting. Identifies outcomes, implements treatment and coordinates care. Performs and assists with oncology and infusion related treatments, therapies, and procedures.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, pushing and pulling. Work requires lifting 75 pounds. Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms. Must possess an intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity. Must have the ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or clinic conditions.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of North Carolina required. Oncology experience preferred. Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses and phlebotomy preferred. Oncology certification preferred. BLS required per policy guidelines.
