Explore an opportunity with the Wake Forest Health Network Internal Medicine - Westchester practice located in High Point, North Carolina! We are seeking a skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and acute illnesses. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and managing ongoing patient care. The role requires excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Internal Medicine Physician will also be involved in patient education and may participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.

What You’ll Do: 

Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment. 

Physician Requirements: 

• Graduation from an accredited medical school as a M.D./D.O.
• Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution. 
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
• Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency. 
• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required 
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required
