- Cardiology Stepdown: This is a 25-bed Intermediate level Cardiology step-down unit. It caters to patients with various cardiovascular needs, including those with MI, pacemaker insertions, cardiac drips, Swan-Ganz catheters, aspirin desensitization, heart transplants, LVADs, cardioversions, post-ablation, and post-TAVR (transaortic valve replacement) procedures.
- Interventional Cardiology Intermediate Care: This is a 28-bed unit with remote telemetry and bedside monitors. It handles conditions like chest pain, arrhythmias, and heart failure, and performs procedures such as cardiac caths, electrophysiology studies, and stress tests. The unit provides a mix of IMC and Med-Surg care, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:5, based on acuity. We do not care for LVAD patients, but initiate BiPAP as needed.
