Overview

Winter 24-45 New Graduate RN – Atrium Health Cleveland and Kings Mountain.     

Are you a nursing student about to complete your RN education program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  

  We are seeking full-time New Grad RNs for our Residency at Atrium Health Cleveland and Atrium Health Kings Mountain. Atrium Health Cleveland located in Shelby,  NC is a 241-bed hospital serving the greater Cleveland County, NC and the surrounding region. Atrium Health Cleveland is committed to providing advanced, personalized medical care to our community, so the community will not have to travel fa for healthcare needs. Newsweek has recognized Atrium Health Cleveland as one of its Best Maternity Hospitals and Most Loved Workplaces and they are also a Leapfrog Safety Grade A Hospital. Atrium Health Kings Mountain is in Kings Mountain NC and provides comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. Atrium Health Kings Mountain is a 67-bed hospital with a broad range of services. Both facilities are part of Advocate Health, the third largest non-profit integrated health system in the nation  

Atrium Health Cleveland:  

Provides inpatient services for ICU, Progressive Care, Med Surg, Clinical Decision and Women Services/Pediatrics/Nursery 

Emergency Department to provide Level III Trauma services for the surrounding community  

Surgical Services and Levine Cancer Institute LCI Clinic, LCI Infusion Center and Radiation Oncology)    

Atrium Health Kings Mountain: 

Provides Inpatient Services for Med Surg, Progressive Care and Behavioral Health  

Emergency Services and Surgical Services

Continuing Education: Receive up to $1,500/yr. for certifications/certifications and up to $3,000/yr. for a degree. 

Job Summary  

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities safely. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.   

Physical Requirements: Candidates must perform various physical tasks, communicate effectively, maintain senses and dexterity, demonstrate critical thinking and quick response, and pass a Physical Abilities Test.

Education: Graduate from a School of Nursing with a preference for a BSN degree.   

Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in the state of work/residence or if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
