Overview
The Electrophysiology Lab Coordinator provides excellent and efficient patient care throughout the EP Lab procedure by performing in various roles including physiologic monitoring, circulating, scrubbing, and those duties specific to licensure, certification, and/or registration.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- 3 years EP lab experience
- 1 year management or supervisory experience
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in NC
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- Professional and thorough communication skills with consideration of patient needs
- Analytical skills necessary for problem assessment and solution with schedules and equipment
- Stress management to support employees and physicians in a critical patient care environment
Responsibilities (Not Limited To)
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensures readiness of equipment and supplies and recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergencies.
- Safe Environment: Establishes a safe, therapeutic and compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their significant others.
- Patient Care: Manages and facilitates quality care. Identifies and implements changes that enhance effectiveness of patient care delivery. Promotes and monitors compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory agency standards. Administers patient care as mandated by licensure, certification or registration. Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
- Teamwork: Promotes a cooperative working environment by utilizing effective communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
- Coordination: Coordinates departmental functions.
- Staff Development: Assures staff development activities that promote and maintain clinical competencies.
- Procedures: Participates in electrophysiology and surgical procedures.
