Overview
The Nursing Supervisor performs nursing duties and makes management decisions in accordance with hospital policy/procedure and supervises other nursing personnel who are responsible for patient care. This individual serves as a resource person for nursing and other hospital departments and must be able to set priorities. This position will include accountability for maintaining high standards of patient care throughout the hospital. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating the nursing care provided in the hospital utilizing the nursing process.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. A graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
B. Experience
1. Two years of related experience
2. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures
C. Licensure
1. Licensed Registered Nurse by the state of Georgia is required
