Position Highlights:
What You'll Do: As the Director of Patient Registration at our prestigious institution, you'll ensure overall performance for assigned Patient Access area within a strong, positive, collaborative culture. Lead all functions and operations which provide service to patients, with direct reports including Managers, Supervisors and/or colleagues, this person ensures efficiency and efficacy of processes and resource use within assigned scope. Work with other Leadership Team members to implement the strategic plan and associated long and short term goals. The Director is responsible for optimal outcomes for the patients in all front end services, including, but not limited to insurance verification, point of service cash collection, Medicaid and/or Charity Care Eligibility.
1. Lead a team of client-facing roles at various locations across the enterprise.
2. Determine strategic direction of the front line service creating a positive, effective environment.
3. Establish annual Department goals as well as ensuring all reasonable steps are taken to accomplish success.
4. Regularly measures and report key performance indicators and achieves targeted performance levels. Assign management and staff accountability for specific metrics. Oversees team quality and productivity standards are met via established QA periodic operational review.
5. Manage costs - Ensure all areas of the Department operation within budgetary parameters and provides appropriate explanation of variances. Prepares budget for all areas of responsibility within the Department. Monitor and evaluate fiscal year budgets on an ongoing basis, and make changes when indicated.
6. Provide leadership through effective guidance, feedback, and delegation. Administer all hospital and departmental policies in a fair, accurate, and consistent manner. Delegate responsibilities effectively, providing the necessary support and information for a successful outcome. Maintain an open door policy and is easily accessible and approachable. Ensure an environment for growth and opportunities for staff, provides the knowledge and skills necessary in the performance of their jobs.
7. Ensure internal and external policies, procedures and processes are available, current, and represent compliance with best practices.
8. Monitor and ensure consistent execution of departmental processes and procedures and identifies and corrects any anomalies.
9. As needed, review and re-engineer operational processes in such a way that most efficiently utilizes resources, exploits all available technology, meets expectations and minimizes expenses.
10. Constantly seek the development of technological or process advancements that could facilitate improving work flow and results to improve patient access and interaction.
