Position Highlights: 

  • Shift Schedule: Full Time (40 hours), Monday-Friday

What You'll Do: Responsible for managing financial and operational business-related activities for the Division. Assists the Vice President with operational and financial projects that impact the quality of patient care and day-to-day operations. Provide business management information to the Vice President necessary for the strategic and operational advancement of the Division. Coordinate, develop and analyze special projects for the Vice President and divisional Directors. Monitors, audits, create and analyze reports and financial indicators.

  • Assists the Vice President with division leadership responsibilities. Provides oversight of financial and operational issues within the division. Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in division, department, and organization planning. Communicates expectations and clarifies division and organization goals to Medical Center leaders. Develops division goals and objectives in conjunction with division directors and the vice president. Participates on various Medical Center committees, work groups, and task forces as requested. Serves as a liaison to the Office of Budget to assist in coordinating divisional budget matters.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President, oversee the division’s fiscal operations. Coordinates the divisional budget process. Oversees the gathering and preparation of pertinent data, statistics, and other materials, for report writing for the vice president’s presentation to Administration. Prepares special projects for the Vice President and the division, as well as the Medical Center. Conducts financial analyses related to expenses, revenue and reimbursement for departments, programs, and service lines in the division. Prepares reports on items requiring action plans and follow-up on divisionally and departmentally defined indicators and projects. Facilitates the divisional capital equipment review process. Facilitates the divisional capital budget.
  • Fulfills the role of innovator, leader, and facilitator in areas of responsibility to ensure continuous quality improvement. Develops and recommends plans for change in systems and business processes to improve operations. Streamlines processes to maximize financial and operational productivity. 
  • Works cooperatively with departments within the division to coordinate special projects. Develops detailed courses of action to ensure special events or projects are executed properly or departmental programs are administered effectively. Participates on division leadership teams to improve process efficiencies. Assists in process/quality improvement initiatives to further divisional philosophies and the Medical Center’s mission. Leads department director’s efforts to complete divisional report requests and projects. Coordinates action necessary to complete projects or administer a program, with close attention to detail. Works with divisional directors with development, implementation, and monitoring of employee and customer satisfaction standards. Sets deadlines, monitors progress, and adjusts actions as necessary to meet deadlines. 
  • Participates in strategic and operational planning to design, implement, and evaluate programmatic needs and ensures that optimal service levels are provided. Demonstrates visionary, innovative, and creative thinking in organizational planning. Assists the internal/external environment in forecasting and identifying driving forces and barriers to planning. Analyzes divisional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to evaluate the potential impact of changes to operations. Acquires an in-depth understanding of the division priorities to enhance the development of strategic initiatives. 
  • Fulfills the role of innovator, leader, and facilitator in areas of responsibility to ensure continuous quality improvement. Plans for change in systems and processes to improve quality. Fosters an environment that encourages innovation by others. Streamlines processes to maximize departmental productivity. 
  • Demonstrates responsibility for personal development by participating in continuing education offerings and Medical Center activities. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about Medical Center policies by attending personnel updates and other Medical Center required activities/classes. . Maintains professional competence by demonstrating self-direction for continued education. Participates in divisional staff meetings. 

What You'll Need: 

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Facilities Administration, Health Administration, or other related master’s degree program plus five years of experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience in business management, financial analysis, or related field preferred 
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills: 

  • Strong organization skills required. 
  • Must have an understanding of financial cost and budgeting. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong PC background with emphasis in computer spreadsheet systems and presentation packages required.
