Overview
Primary purpose:
Provides administrative and clinical leadership and supervision to teammates in the program. Provides daily oversight of program development, quality control and monitors, performance improvement and service recovery.
Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of hospital and department standards that reflect Joint
Commission and professional standards and guidelines for clinical care.
Adheres to the professional standards and code of ethics set forth by applicable licensing board.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with clarity and organization while ensuring appropriate communication occurs between the medical staff, leadership team, service line leadership and team members.
Provides fiscal oversight of allocated resources to optimize efficient and effective utilization of resources.
Demonstrates flexibility and organization in performance of job responsibilities; responds quickly to emerging problems and available to support teammates as needs arise.
Develops effective working relationships with medical staff in their area of responsibility; facilitates teamwork between medical staff and teammates;
engages medical staff in program planning.
Creates a work environment that drives teammate engagement; provides accountability as appropriate to drive performance and team work.
Ensures the development and use of evidence-based, outcomes driven approaches to treatment and care delivery; maintains knowledge base of current trends in area of expertise.
Seeks continuous opportunities to learn; seeks experiences for skill building and acquiring new knowledge.
Works cooperatively with other disciplines and departments across the facility, service line and system.
Maintains knowledgeable of daily operations for areas of responsibility and develops policies and procedures for the program.
Selects and provides ongoing development of direct reports; reviews and evaluates performance providing specific feedback to improve effectiveness and growth.
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Psychology, or a comparable human services field that maintains appropriate professional accreditation required.
Two (2) years experience in the field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients. Ability to maintain client confidentiality. Knowledge of state and federal laws related to the practice of therapy.
