Position Highlights:

  • Shift Schedule: Full-Time Nights, 7p-7a
  • Department: Med-Surg Unit A
  • Location: Lexington Medical Center

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED General Studies
  • Successful completion of a North Carolina Board of Nursing Aide I approved training program/competency evaluation 
  • Nurse Aide I Registration Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Registry 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Preferred:   Prior experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer clerical tasks for patient admissions and medical records.
  • Ensure confidential, accurate, and timely patient information sharing.
  • Manage incoming calls and message transmission.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the team, patients, and family.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment following procedures.
  • Work efficiently and handle stress calmly.
  • Perform NA1+4 skills as per facility guidelines.
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily activities under RN supervision.
  • Complete assigned unit duties and support co-workers when possible.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care per guidelines.
     

Physical and Behavioral Requirements:

  • Lift, carry, and push heavy objects.
  • Perform bending, squatting, and standing tasks.
  • Use visual acuity for reading and documentation.
  • Maintain a sense of smell for safety.
  • Utilize a sense of touch to evaluate vital signs.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and audibly.
