Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (Winston-Salem, NC) is recruiting a full-time academic gynecologic oncologist.  Fellows graduating in 2025 are welcome to apply.

Work in a Supportive & Collaborative Environment: 

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist currently includes over 60 providers, 24 residents and 12 fellows. Our division is comprised of five board certified/eligible gynecologic oncologists with additional outpatient and inpatient advanced practitioners and a recently ACGME accredited gynecologic oncology fellowship in 2019.  We also have mature, collaborative relationships with surgical oncologists, surgical critical care intensivists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, genetic counselors, and palliative care physicians.

 

Research & Education Opportunities: 

Our Division hosts educational conferences every Wednesday afternoon during which all faculty, fellows, residents and students actively participate. These sessions include case-based didactics, a weekly surgical quality improvement conference, bi-weekly multidisciplinary tumor board and a monthly research in progress meeting. The Wake Forest Baptist NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center actively supports our broad clinical trials portfolio. Our Division is particularly interested in investigator-initiated clinical trials. There are numerous additional research opportunities within the institution ranging from translational work to the social sciences.
