Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates the job performance of staff. Serves as a liaison and representative of Hospital/Service Line. Provides and maintains clinical and professional competency in the application of the principles of management.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling required. Must lift a minimum of 20 pounds shoulder high. Intact sense of sight, hearing and finger dexterity. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and unit conditions and think critically and have the ability to concentrate.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of NC required. 3 years nursing experience including 1 year in management required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required.
