Overview
Summary
The Workplace Violence (WPV) Mitigation Program Manager reports to the Enterprise Director, WPV Mitigation and leads project administration for WPV and teammate safety strategies. Responsibilities include education, incident follow-up, and analysis for recommendations. This role will coordinate interdisciplinary communication, conduct presentations with various stakeholders, assist with the management of WPV workgroups, track WPV evidence, and collaborate with partners for a coordinated mitigation program.
Essential Functions:
Leadership and Collaboration:
Work independently and collaboratively to lead and facilitate committee and group processes in a complex environment
Collaborate strategically with nursing management and leadership to support continuous quality improvement and teammate safety
Work with various departments including Nursing, Safety and Security, Risk Management, and Facilities to build a collaborative environment
Develop productive working relationships across all levels of the organization
Project Management and Analysis:
Coordinate the development and implementation of process improvement projects related to team safety and WPV prevention
Ensure appropriate methodology is utilized for data collection, analyses, and reporting of information
Demonstrate organizational and project management skills
Assess complex issues and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional Development and Education:
Proactively seek continued professional growth
Maintain current expertise of WPV literature and recommend changes in delivery of care and practice based on identified opportunities
Stay informed about national trends and attend relevant workshops and seminars
Provide education and training to teammates
Facilitate the planning and presentation of innovative educational offerings that meet the needs of the target audience
Operational Support:
Operationalize programming to mitigate WPV across the care continuum
Specifically support incident wraparound services with workflow coordination
Education / Experience:
• Graduated from an accredited college of nursing;
• Master’s in nursing required;
• Doctorate in Nursing Practice preferred;
Licensure, Certification and / or Registration:
• Current RN licensure in good standing
• Project Management Professional Certification required within 1 year of hire
• Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification required
• Lean Six Sigma green belt required within 1 year of hire
