Overview

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the management of all referral data received for designated programs, which includes the verification of insurance, maintaining appropriate patient files, keeping relevant statistics for future marketing efforts and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on these statistics. This individual participates as requested in providing information for program development and evaluations. The Intake Coordinator supports the purpose and objectives of the case management department.

  3. Licensure/Certification
  4. Ability to read and write as normally acquired through high school education or equivalent.
  5. Post secondary education in a business-related field recommended.
  6. Knowledge of clerical and secretarial functions as normally acquired through academic experience, and/or previous work experience, preferably in the healthcare field. Must be able to use office equipment such as computer (Microsoft office with proficiency in Excel), telephone, fax machine, and copier.
  7. Insurance experience encouraged.
  8. Experience working with an adult population as supportive personnel preferred.
