We are seeking a Full time Family Medicine Physician with leadership experience or with the desire to lead for the Site Based Medical Director role at Biddle Point Family Medicine in Charlotte, NC! 

The Carolinas Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is a 12/12/12 residency program in Charlotte, NC that includes 3 tracks for residents - Urban Underserved / Biddle Point, Traditional / Elizabeth, and Community Apprenticeship / Union.  

Atrium Health is developing a new medical school affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine with its first class to start in 2025.  The medical school will have an emphasis on educating students that are underrepresented in medicine and caring for those in underserved communities. 

AH Biddle Point is a full scope Family Medicine community clinic that is part of a large integrated physician network with access to system level resources across the care continuum. Ideal candidates will be passionate about caring for underserved, medically complex patients within a practice that embodies diversity of race, culture, ethnicity and language. A patient centered focus is the heart of the practice; collegiality, professionalism and compassion are values of greatest importance.

Position Highlights:

• Join current team of 7 physicians and 9 residents
• 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) 0.8 clinical/ 0.1 precepting/ 0.1 administrative
• Possibility of 0.05-0.1 FTE education time for qualified candidates
• Work closely with Clinic leadership team- Practice Manager, Nursing Supervisor and Clerical Supervisor for excellent patient care provision 
• Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at the Biddle point practice, along with precepting Family Medicine Residents and medical students
• Faculty responsibilities will include evaluating residents and students, serving as an advisor for residents, and possibly developing curriculum
• Access to faculty professional development 
• Opportunity to do typical outpatient procedures like contraceptive devices, I&D, benign lesion removals, etc.
• Monday–Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
• Call split between 7 providers, rotated daily and on weekends, phone calls only
• Access to additional System level care management resources and virtual technology
• Proximity to our main campus at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center and Uptown Charlotte
