Our Neurological Specialists work together to provide wide-ranging, seamlessly connected neurological care. We are seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to join the outpatient Neurology team at Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute Neurology – Pineville, NC.

 

This is an incredibly busy practice with a great reputation in the community with engaged physicians and APPs.

 

Position Details

  • Prior APP and/or Neurology experience is preferred but not required.
  • Outpatient setting
  • Desirable Monday-Friday schedule with option of 4-day workweek. 
  • Clinical focus on outpatient stroke care and cerebrovascular risk factor reduction.
  • Provide both post-acute and continuity care for stroke patients in outpatient clinic setting. 
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes CME allowance, and Paid Time Off

  • Opportunity to practice with well established team that is known for superior patient care. 
  • 10-14 patients per day (stroke hospital follow-ups and subsequent stroke continuity care providing care during post acute period)
  • No call or weekends. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Performs physical examinations, assessments, and develops appropriate plan of care. 
  • Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
  • Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations. 
  • Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record. 
  • Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of standard procedures for department.
