Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, part of Atrium Health, is currently seeking a Non-Invasive Adult Cardiologist with training in Cardiovascular MRI to join the advanced cardiovascular imaging practice in Charlotte, NC 

Practice Highlights: 

• The practice has 5 CMR Cardiologists, who are busy with direct patient care and non-invasive, advanced imaging.
• In 2022, performed 4,800 CMR studies across 3 Atrium hospitals and SHVI outpatient CV imaging center in Charlotte.
• 2 dedicated CMR scanners (Siemens 1.5 and 3.0 T) in outpatient CV imaging center.
• In 2022, performed over 9,000 Cardiac CT studies.
• Actively engaged in multiple SCMR registry studies evaluating clinical impact of CMR in valvular heart disease, cardiac amyloidosis, Covid-19 myocardial injury and stress perfusion CMR.
• The Atrium/SHVI Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT programs were recently chosen to be a show-site for Siemens Healthineers. 

Qualified candidates should be: 

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular MRI
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiovascular CT
• Skilled in echocardiography, transesophageal echo, and nuclear stress test imaging
• Structural heart imaging training (echo/CT) is desirable

About the practice:

• The SHVI CMC Main campus is a 1000-bed facility located in downtown Charlotte, NC – with very easy access to Uptown Charlotte, shopping, restaurants, and other activities, as well as several other growing suburban and urban areas to live.
• A new hospital is under construction, slated to open in 2027 
• Wake Forest University Medical School, Charlotte is currently under construction with the first class enrolling in 2024;
