JOB SUMMARY: 

  • Teaching appointment with an expectation for scholarly accomplishment in the discipline area of medical imaging. 
  • Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement.
  • Provides intellectual leadership and offers independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. 
  • Teaching responsibilities include time spent in the virtual classroom and/or clinical setting. 
  •  Maintains and improves competence in subjects being taught, prepares teaching materials, confers with students on course materials. 
  • Directs individual, group studies and practical. 
  • Grades written examinations and papers, supervises independent study projects. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's or equivalent degree, Teaching experience preferred, MRI ARRT CERTIFICATION.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

Excellent oral and written communication skills, Well organized, Strong interpersonal skills. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Academic environment , normal business hours.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting clients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
