Job Summary

Performs tasks to include scheduling procedures, registration, patient interviews, reception area monitoring, report delivery, and ordering of procedures.



Essential Functions
 

  • Schedules imaging studies and performs all associated tasks.
  • Communicates pertinent patient care information to physicians offices.
  • Monitors the reception waiting area.
  • Assists physicians and/or radiologists.
  • Demonstrates appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Copies and releases patient images/reports according to department and hospital policy.

 

Physical Requirements
 

 

Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving equipment and supplies. Requires walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and pushing/pulling equipment. Intact senses of sight and hearing.



Education, Experience and Certifications
 

High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of medical terminology, computers, and other electronic devices preferred. Previous imaging department experience preferred.
