Patron Attendant

Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Provides exceptional hospitality service to patients and guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Greets and assists everyone with compassion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Two years of customer service experience preferred. Ability to drive manual transmission and a clean driving record for at least five years. Level I Qualified Spanish Bilingual Staff (QBS) preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid North Carolina driver's license with no restrictions required. CPR certification required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Adheres to general hospital standards for a cooperative work environment.
2. Greets patients and guests with a caring attitude.
3. Ensures safety in the work area.
4. Ensures safety during vehicle loading and unloading.
5. Drives a golf cart as requested.
6. Performs other duties as requested by management.
7. Completes all Medical Center and Department training requirements promptly.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional communication skills

• Willing to assist anyone
• Basic math skills for processing payments and deposits
• Able to stand or walk for prolonged periods

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Very noisy environment
• Heavy traffic noise
• Outside environment subject to summer heat and winter cold
• Possible exposure to fumes, pathogens, or biohazards
• Subject to air pollution and dust
