The Assistant Clinical Manager provides effective and efficient operation of the Electrophysiology section of the Department of Cardiology Diagnostic Services. Directs and controls staff activities, and other operational functions that contribute to the provision of age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with the standards of the Cardiac Invasive Labs and hospital system.


Shift Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift (No weekends!)

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor's in Nursing and/or graduation from an Allied Health Sciences program
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Registered Nurse in NC required and/or registration/certification by an Allied Sciences program
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS required

  4. Manages and facilitates an environment conducive to optimal patient outcomes through Quality Improvement activities. 
  5. Ensures an environment that stimulates the ongoing professional development of staff and self. 
  6. Ensures staff is achieving department work objectives for organized patient care. 
  7. Coordinates TJC disease specific certifications. 
  8. Coordinates all departmental POCT competency and quality controls as directed by the POCT coordinator for the hospital.
  9. Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines for the specific age groups served. 
  10. Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
