Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist- Behavioral Health- Charlotte, NC

Overview

Atrium Behavioral Health Charlotte (BHC) is currently seeking to add one board-certified/board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to their existing faculty. BHC, a vital part of Atrium Health, is the largest regional provider of mental health services in the Carolinas. They provide the most advanced care in psychiatric services and offer treatment options for adults, adolescents, and children through a comprehensive, integrated system of inpatient and outpatient programs.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, outpatient practice in Charlotte, NC
• Position is in the Child Outpatient Medication Services (CAOMS clinic). CAOMS sees children/adolescents for traditional outpatient psychiatric needs. 
• Mix of in person and virtual services
• 40-hour Monday through Friday work week with some flexibility for clinic hours; schedule includes 15% administrative time
• This position also provides weekend coverage for the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit, which is a 22-bed unit providing acute psychiatric care to patients in need of this level of treatment.
• Practice offers nursing support for both virtual and in-person patients.

Candidate Qualifications:

• BE/BC in psychiatry with experience or interest in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Interest in a primarily outpatient practice with some inpatient work (5-6 weekends/year)
