This opportunity allows providers to have variety in work sites. Our providers are encouraged to work at the top of their license within 3 regional hospital settings and 2 free-standing entities, ranging from a Level 2 Trauma Medical Center to Emergency Medicine Outpatient Centers.

Wake Forest Emergency Providers is a part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist which (www.WakeHealth.edu) is a nationally recognized academic health system in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with an integrated enterprise including educational and research facilities, hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and other primary and specialty care facilities serving 24 counties in northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia.
Wake Forest Emergency Providers provide staffing for the Cone Health Emergency Department sites through a services agreement between these world-class organizations. Cone Health (https://www.conehealth.com/) is a patient-centered, provider friendly, health system headquartered in Greensboro, NC. Our providers work in three regional hospital settings and two free-standing entities. These sites range from a Level 2 Trauma medical center to efficient Emergency Medicine outpatient centers. Patient care requirements are coordinated with many medical centers throughout central North Carolina.
What You’ll Do: In this role, the provider will work alongside EM Physicians, other EM APPs, and EM nurses and staff to take care of patients. Though APPs in this role will collaborate with and share all patients with physicians, autonomy is both encouraged and fostered. Our EM APPs have increased independent expertise and are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. The focus of this role is primarily clinical, and providers will manage acute conditions in a diverse population of patients. There will be opportunities that provide access to get involved in Education, Administration, and Leadership.
Job Requirements:
APP post-graduate experience is preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
