Overview

Job Summary: Responsible for optimizing system workflows, deploying new processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a healthcare setting. Collaborates with the Manager and Technical Lead on project coordination and interfaces with various IT teams. 

Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with five years of relevant experience. Epic certification or relevant system training is necessary.

Responsible for assembling requirements, monitoring design and performing testing, deployment via change control procedures and ongoing optimization of application processes, ensuring customer satisfaction in an academic healthcare setting. Collaborates with the Manager and development team on project coordination and interfaces with enterprise level IT teams.   Experience with Oracle SQL, SQL Developer/TOAD, Data Modeling a must.  Experience with Oracle ApEx (Application Express) a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and enhance end-user workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  2. Identify and recommend the implementation of new functionalities supporting the organization's mission.
  3. Translate business functionality into system configuration and workflow validations.
  4. Develop build plans, track progress, and provide project updates to stakeholders.
  5. Lead decision-making in large groups.
  6. Complete complex build/configurations, measure results, and deploy new workflows.
  7. Mentor team members and share knowledge.
  8. Participate in cross-functional projects and provide design information across applications.
  9. Coordinate cross-application testing to mitigate implications.
  10. Achieve in-depth knowledge of software to bridge end-users and vendor support.
  11. Adhere to departmental change, problem, and incident processes; provide on-call support.
  12. Assist trainers and submit project status updates/reports.
  13. Record time spent on projects for documentation.
  14. Serve as administrative backup during the Manager's absence.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of healthcare processes, billing requirements, and MS platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high quality.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts and user permissions.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced with varying and unpredictable situations.
  • Subject to interruptions and occasional long/irregular hours.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Involves standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, finger/hand dexterity, talking, hearing, and seeing.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling activities with specified weight limits.
