Overview

What you will do:

  • Ability to manage patient flow and safety
  • Exemplify productivity by closing care gaps, meeting quality goals, and maintaining provider satisfaction
  • Will triage and work patients up for acute care visits, chronic conditions, physicals, annual wellness  & new patient visits
  • Ability to communicate with patients regarding test results, prescription refills & answer general patient medical questions and address patient medical concerns
  • Perform work with accuracy, particularly in reporting patient observations
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Utilize common sense and good judgement when required to make independent decisions
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with patients, patients' families, and physicians and other personnel
  • Work with the realization that errors in giving treatments and other procedures could have a detrimental effect on the patient
  • Utilize discretion in handling confidential information
  • Must possess good communication skills

What you will need:

  • Minimum education of a High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Completion of a state approved Technical School of Licensed Practical Nursing
    Twelve months or more of medical-surgical background and physician office nursing experience is preferred
  • Computer knowledge and skills is required
  • Must hold a current license with the State Board of Licensed Practical Nursing
