The Levine Children's Hospital Pre/Post Op Unit currently has 11 PreOp rooms. This area completes the preprocedural care for pediatric patients having anesthesia for a variety of procedures in the operating room, cardiac cath lab, and other non-operating room areas. The hours of operation are 0500 - 1500. Preprocedural care needed after 1500 is performed in LCH PACU as staffing allows. The PACU is separate from the LCH PreOp area and has 15 rooms. Pediatric patients are taken direct to the PACU after anesthesia from the operating room, cardiac cath lab, and other non-operating room areas. Candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience, preferably in ICU, ED, or PACU. If no ICU, ED, or PACU experience, the preference is for candidates to have at least 2 years of RN experience.
